I try but cant.

I scream in pain.
  But no one hears me.

I hush the demons.
  But they rage further.

I fight the nightmares.
  But they fight back worst.

I curse the devil.
  But he just laughs.

I try to run.
  But I am pulled back.

I try to stand.
  But darkness consumes.

I eventually sink to my knees...

 ...Defeated......

  And everyone just watches in amusement.
